What are the Delta flight attendant assessments?

After you apply to be a Delta flight attendant, Delta asks for two online assessments: an interactive candidate assessment and a short values assessment, each run by a partner company. If you pass, you record an on-demand video interview on HireVue, then attend Event Day at Delta’s Atlanta headquarters. A conditional job offer, background checks and seven weeks of training in Atlanta follow.

What are the steps in Delta’s flight attendant hiring?

Delta lists the steps in this order:

  1. Application. Delta says that as of June 2026 you may submit one flight attendant application every six months, from the same profile.
  2. Candidate Assessment. An interactive, AI-powered assessment from Delta’s partner MakiPeople, which also shows you more about the job.
  3. Values Assessment. A short assessment from Delta’s partner Fitme.
  4. On-Demand Interview. If you pass the values assessment, you record a video interview on HireVue.
  5. Event Day. An in-person day at Delta’s headquarters in Atlanta.
  6. Conditional Job Offer. Followed by a background check and a drug screening.
  7. Training. Seven weeks onsite in Atlanta.

How long are the assessments, and what do they cover?

Delta doesn’t say how long either assessment takes, what it covers or how it’s scored. Its advice for both is to take your time, avoid distractions, and answer honestly.

How does the HireVue interview work at Delta?

You record it yourself, and video is required. Delta doesn’t publish the number of questions or the time allowed for each answer. The HireVue video interview page explains how on-demand interviews work in general.

How does Delta suggest you prepare for the video interview?

Delta suggests treating it like an in-person interview and wearing clean, pressed, professional clothes. Test your internet, microphone and webcam beforehand, put the camera at eye level and sit in the center of the frame, in a quiet spot with a neutral background and good light. Don’t write out answers and read them from paper or another screen.

Who decides, and does Delta use AI?

Delta says it uses AI in parts of the application process, and that hiring leaders review candidate information and make every final decision. Trained flight attendants also help interview and select candidates.

What if you aren’t selected?

Delta doesn’t give individual feedback. You may reapply six months after being disqualified, once a new flight attendant opening is posted. Delta updates candidates by email and in their careers-site profile.

Who can apply?

Delta says applicants must be at least 21 and hold a passport with at least 30 months of validity left when training starts. Applicants for bilingual roles must speak, read and write the second language. Delta provides reasonable accommodations in applying and selection; the request link is on the same careers page.

Is Practice Round connected to Delta?

No. Practice Round isn’t affiliated with Delta Air Lines, HireVue, MakiPeople or Fitme.

HireVue video interview

A HireVue on-demand interview is a one-way video interview: questions appear on screen and you record your answers alone, when it suits you, before a deadline. The employer sets the rules. HireVue recommends one minute to prepare, three minutes to answer and three attempts per question, and you get a practice question first. Some interviews add short games, and HireVue suggests setting aside about 45 minutes.
